...FIYL effectively without regular blogging. This goes for me more than anyone!
I teach RPM spin classes - Monday 7:30pm, Thursday 6:30am, Friday 6:45am - these require a certain routine in order to perform all my duties in life; Corporate Trustee by day, husband/gentleman lover by night. I had this routine all worked out before, and then I went and poured a 90 day healthy eating and exercise program on top of it. Is this going to be too much?
And this is why the blog stopped for a few days, something had to give. I'm yet to figure out how to incorporate my FIYL strength training on Thursday and Friday, this week saw some half-hearted leg work and some rushed push ups, but this week is a fresh challenge and I'm looking forward to rising to it.
Monday was awesome. You what? That's right, Monday was awesome!
Food, check. Productive day at work, check. Spin class left attendees sweaty and gasping, check.
Stayed behind after class and whilst the gym was jammed and crazy, full of that false-promise and grand ambition that fills every gym in January, I cranked the tunes up in the spinning studio and proceeded to smash out an amazing Day 8 workout in perfectly isolated solitude. Brilliant!
First time I've started to feel that deep burn again, really connected with my core (no doubt the hour class on the bike helped get me to that point), enjoyed the physical challenge, but finished at just the right time so as not to hurt myself or hit total exhaustion.
Fuelled up at the nearby supermarket before braving the minus 20 Celcius conditions, to catch up with the Missus and a few friends who were just finishing watching the Bachelor (yuk). We drove home and I was asleep before my head touched the pillow.
Woke up feeling good today, food in order, also about to head down to see Reeyaz for a
Honeybell Orange
Fired up for Day 9 exercise at home tonight.
FIYL starting to become the norm, good times
Good times indeed!
